Our desire at First Baptist Church is to equip the saints of the work of the ministry. Ministry opportunities include:
Our desire is for you to go away with and understanding. The Gospel is the life altering truth that Jesus died, was buried, rose again, and ascended into heaven all to provide salvation for those who believe on His name!
Our worship includes singing with enthusiasm, praying fervently, giving passionately, and studying the Word of God diligently. [tab]First Baptist Church believes that service to God is an overflow of a worshipping heart, and we desire to provide an atmosphere of worship that enables service.
We focus on clear Bible exposition in our services. Children’s Sunday school classes are age appropriate to help younger learners grow. Adult studies are offered through Sunday school and in other weekly venues. These are intended to provide fellowship and help provide both loose and structured accountability.
We emphasized the importance of a person’s daily walk with God, not simply a weekly meeting or daily task. We desire to provide numerous opportunities for personal growth and spiritual progression. Our desire is to help all believers become true disciples of Jesus and to experience the fullness of the abundant life that He came to provide.
We offer small group fellowship and all-church activities. We desire to display Christ’s concern for others in our relationships. We remind ourselves of the words from Romans 12:15 that we ought to rejoice together and sorrow together. This is because we belong to the Family of God.
First Baptist Church offers a variety of variety of service opportunities, including; serving in the nursery, choir, AWANA, organizing community outreach programs, and delivering gifts to our church neighbors at Christmas time. Ministries are available for all ages, including children, teens, adults, and families. Service in the life of a believer flows out of spiritual life. First Baptist Church seeks to help believers to understand their spiritual life and enable them to serve because of the life they have been given.
First Baptist Church recognizes that it has a role in our community. In our long history, there has been a continuous vision to interact with the community.
Our interaction includes AWANA Clubs for children, a food shelf for those who struggle financially; an annual Neighbors Night Out and a Christmas bag give away to church neighbors. It is through these types of events, that we have made many friends and acquaintances in Faribault and surrounding communities and have been blessed with an opportunity to minister to many. First Baptist Church is more a family than a series of programs. Our heart’s desire is to know and care about you.
